Job Description

CROWN Packaging Manufacturing UK Limited is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Warehouse Forklift Operator to support our manufacturing and distribution operations by efficiently moving, stacking, and organizing materials within our warehouse facilities.

We currently have a vacancy for a Warehouse Forklift Operator working continuous shifts (2 x 12 hours days & 2 x 12 hour nights, followed by 4 rest days), based in Botcherby, Carlisle (UK).

Job Responsibilities

Operate counterbalance forklifts to load and unload delivery vehicles, transport goods, and stack materials in designated areas. Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any defects or malfunctions to the supervisor immediately. Accurately move and store raw materials, finished products, and packaging supplies. Ensure proper storage and rotation of inventory, adhering to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles where applicable. Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate stock records. Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE and following safe operating practices. Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the warehouse. Collaborate with warehouse team members and other departments to ensure smooth operational flow. Assist with other general warehouse duties as required.

Job Qualifications

Valid and current Forklift Operator license/certification (e.g., counterbalance) Proven experience operating forklifts in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices. Ability to read and understand shipping/receiving documents and inventory labels. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in material handling. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25kg) and stand for extended periods.
