Water Hygiene Technician

Salary: £32,135.46 per annum

Working Hours: Permanent, Full-time position, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday between 7am and 4pm (potential for flexibility)

Location: Cheltenham

Excellent benefits package including 2.5% Golden Hello payment on commencement of employment and a £2,000 annual retention bonus (pro-rata for part-time employees), subject to achieving and maintaining clearance requirements.

About The Role

We are actively seeking a reliable, organised, and safety-conscious Water Hygiene Technician to join our site-based team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering essential water hygiene maintenance, including temperature monitoring, sampling, and chemical analysis, ensuring our site remains compliant and safe for all.

Responsibilities

Undertake domestic water hygiene maintenance in line with site Legionella Risk Assessments. Perform temperature monitoring, flushing, and microbiological sampling. Conduct chemical analysis, dosing, and sterilisation of water systems. Inspect and clean water tanks, irrigation systems, and showers. Assist with cooling tower hygiene activities and RO plant maintenance. Complete all hygiene documentation and log books to maintain a clear audit trail. Carry out reactive repairs and subsequent water hygiene remedial works. Manage the movement, use, and stock-taking of water treatment chemicals. Act as a G4S ambassador when interacting with clients and contractors. Adhere strictly to corporate security and health and safety policies

Essential

Good administration and basic IT skills. Working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, including COSHH. Resourceful and proactive approach to problem-solving. Ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a team. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Must be able to achieve and maintain DV security clearance.
