Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking a dedicated Youth Justice Support Officer for our West Team, covering Mansfield and Ashfield. This role involves working with children and young people to reduce anti-social behaviour and prevent entry into the criminal justice system.
Key Responsibilities
Build relationships with young people and families. Assess and address risks within family settings. Collaborate with teams and partner agencies. Implement effective interventions. Maintain accurate records and reports.
Required Skills
Professional qualification in Youth Justice or related field. Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience. Understanding of safeguarding policies. Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Personal Qualities
Empathy and commitment to supporting young people. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Team player with a collaborative approach.
