As an Aircraft Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repairs, and modifications to the aircraft.

Requirements

• Must currently have eligibility to live and work in the UK.
• Must hold a valid aircraft standards-based qualification (Apprenticeship/NVQ level 3) or aircraft related academic qualification/traineeship with a minimum 3 years recorded experience or be able to satisfy AAG DS Training / Maintenance management team.
• Current Human factor initial and refresher, EWIS and SFAR 88 certificate.
• Knowledge of aeronautical regulations.
• Must have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
• Be able to successfully complete MOD security clearance.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience on A400M, Airbus, Propeller or Wide body Aircraft.
• Previous exposure to AirN@v and Amos.
• Knowledge of Military Aviation Authority (MAA) MRP Part 145 regulations.
• Good communication skills, both verbally and written, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work on their own initiative and demonstrate leadership skills.
• Proficient organisational skills and an ability to work in an efficient manner.
• IPAF/MEWP familiarisation.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of the aircraft and safe use of ground equipment.
• Accurately navigate and interpret aircraft maintenance documentation.
• Carry out aircraft modifications and light structural work if required.
• Compliance with the organisational policies and procedures detailed in the Atlantic Aviation Group Defence services (AAG DS) MOE and supporting manuals.
• Identifying and rectifying existing and potential unsafe conditions.
• Maintaining the work environment in a clean and safe manner using a “clean as you go” approach.
• Complying with company Safety Management System (SMS) occurrence reporting procedures.
• Complying with the AAG DS safety policy.
• Complete aircraft paperwork to a high standard.
• Awareness of COSHH, Working at height and Manual handling safety requirements.
• Actively embrace a Continuous Improvement (CI) culture.
