As an Aircraft Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repairs, and modifications to the aircraft.
Requirements
- Must currently have eligibility to live and work in the UK.
- Must hold a valid aircraft standards-based qualification (Apprenticeship/NVQ level 3) or aircraft related academic qualification/traineeship with a minimum 3 years recorded experience or be able to satisfy AAG DS Training / Maintenance management team.
- Current Human factor initial and refresher, EWIS and SFAR 88 certificate.
- Knowledge of aeronautical regulations.
- Must have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Be able to successfully complete MOD security clearance.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience on A400M, Airbus, Propeller or Wide body Aircraft.
- Previous exposure to AirN@v and Amos.
- Knowledge of Military Aviation Authority (MAA) MRP Part 145 regulations.
- Good communication skills, both verbally and written, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work on their own initiative and demonstrate leadership skills.
- Proficient organisational skills and an ability to work in an efficient manner.
- IPAF/MEWP familiarisation.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance of the aircraft and safe use of ground equipment.
- Accurately navigate and interpret aircraft maintenance documentation.
- Carry out aircraft modifications and light structural work if required.
- Compliance with the organisational policies and procedures detailed in the Atlantic Aviation Group Defence services (AAG DS) MOE and supporting manuals.
- Identifying and rectifying existing and potential unsafe conditions.
- Maintaining the work environment in a clean and safe manner using a “clean as you go” approach.
- Complying with company Safety Management System (SMS) occurrence reporting procedures.
- Complying with the AAG DS safety policy.
- Complete aircraft paperwork to a high standard.
- Awareness of COSHH, Working at height and Manual handling safety requirements.
- Actively embrace a Continuous Improvement (CI) culture.

- PPE is provided by AAG DS and its use is mandatory in the performance of your work.

Our committed and flexible team of over 100 engineers and management are based at RAF Brize Norton in a dedicated 24,000m², three-bay facility designed to optimise the maintenance of the aircraft. AAG Defence Services is a subsidiary company of Atlantic Aviation Group.
Contact Primarily based in Brize Norton however travel may be required.
