You won't just be watching from the sidelines; you’ll be getting stuck into the mechanics and the "brains" behind our production lines. You will learn how to master heavy industrial machinery, ensuring it runs at peak performance while diagnosing and fixing complex issues as they happen.

It is not all about heavy lifting, though. You will get to grips with the high-tech electrical and software systems that control our sites. Working alongside our experts, you will find clever ways to improve how we work and help us implement the next generation of technical solutions. By the time you finish, you will have the skills to solve almost any engineering challenge we throw at you.

This is a real career path with a clear and supported structure. You will follow a four-year programme delivered in partnership with Bridgend College, combined with hands on mentoring from our site based teams.

Year 1: Build your technical skills by attending college 5 days a week at Bridgend College in Bridgend

Year 2 to 4: Hands on Experience at our Bridgend manufacturing site to put your skills into action

The Result: Qualify as a Maintenance Engineer with a permanent job

Requirements

• Minimum of 16 years of age
• Minimum education of at least 4 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or equivalent, including Mathematics, English and a Science.
• A strong work ethic and a genuine interest in how things are built and fixed
• The ability to work in a team as well as on your own
• You must be able to commute between the college and our site for the duration of your apprenticeship. Because of our location, having your own transport is highly recommended

• If we’re a match, we’ll invite you to our site open day. You’ll tour the site, meet the team, see the heavy machinery you’ll be working on, and get stuck into some group activities to see if the role is right for you
• You'll find out if we're making it official by late July. If you've secured the "Yes," your career officially starts in September
