Our Cafes serve hundreds of people daily, offering everything from breakfast to coffee and cake. As a Café Manager, you will lead and empower colleagues to prioritize the customer and deliver outstanding service.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in retail, hospitality, the service industry, or travel & tourism, with a passion for exceptional customer service.
  • Experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to share knowledge, experience, and best practices.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across all areas, while remaining flexible.
  • Adaptability to change and the ability to challenge effectively.
  • Active listening skills and the ability to respond effectively to customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Listen to and respond to customer feedback.
  • Ensure market-leading availability across the store.
  • Collaborate with other Managers to lead a supportive and performance-driven department.
  • Efficiently manage all people routines, including scheduling, absence, performance, and talent conversations.
  • Deliver training to ensure team capability and confidence.
  • Enable colleagues to work with confidence across various departments.
  • Identify and develop talent within the department.
  • Build effective relationships with other operating departments.
  • Lead colleagues to work with purpose and achieve departmental targets.
  • Take a leadership role within the store.
  • Plan resource thoroughly.
