As Compliance Executive, reporting to our Head of Compliance (Canada), you will be supporting the Canadian market and help ensure that we are staying on top of the respective regulations.
Requirements
- Legal (or related) degree
- Fluent in English written and spoken
- 2 years+ of experience in a dedicated compliance role and experience with online gambling regulations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work as part of a team
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to interpret legal documents
- Good self-organization, ability to work independently and to meet deadlines
- Experience in dealing with regulatory authorities
- Competent use of standard Microsoft Office applications
- Solid knowledge on IT systems, software development, IT management best practices (Desirable)
- A broad understanding of the online gambling industry (Desirable)
- Formal compliance related qualifications or training (Desirable)
Responsibilities
- Manage the group’s regulatory compliance requirements in the Canadian market
- Provide consulting services on compliance with regulatory requirements to business units, respond to day-to-day compliance related inquiries
- Liaise with the regulatory authorities and manage the day-to-day relationship
- Facilitate identification and resolving of potential non-compliance
- Manage external compliance reviews, prepare and facilitate regulatory audits, ensure audit findings are addressed and support business units in closing potential gaps
- Oversee and execute regulatory reporting
- Act as point of contact for compliance matters, liaise with the group’s legal advisors and third parties in compliance related matters
- Review regulatory publications and provide feedback from compliance perspective (Occasional)
- Promote a culture of compliance throughout the organization in line with the group’s overall compliance strategy (Occasional)
