Requirements
- Must have Right to Work in the UK.
- An enhanced DBS will be completed for the successful candidate.
- Educated to GCSE standard, including Maths and English.
- Experience and knowledge of computer technologies.
- Knowledge of National Standards of Cleanliness and understanding of COSHH and Health and Safety procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with other staff to ensure a safe and pleasant environment is provided for patients, staff and visitors.
- Regular removal of waste ensuring the correct use of bags and labelling procedures and ensuring that bags are disposed of in the correct waste bins in designated areas.
- Ensuring that clinical waste bags are secured with correct tape in accordance with hospital procedures and colour coding.
- Use all chemicals/cleaning agents in a safe and economical manner and in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
- Only use chemicals which are supplied by the business.
- Undertake deep clean, clinical clean, admission and infection cleans as required by infection control procedure including removal, laundering, and hanging of curtains.
- Report immediately to the Hotel Services Team Leader any defective machinery for further reporting to the Estates Department for repair.
