Teaching Assistant Level 2
25 hours per week over 5 days a week
10am - 3pm, including 1:1 support at lunchtimes
38 weeks per year
Fixed-term position until 31/08/2027, to support a child with individual needs
Grade D3-4 £25614 FTE, £14,519.71 actual per annum

We are looking for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with high needs. Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with complex needs, in line with their EHCP
- Supporting learning, communication, and social development
- Working closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and external professionals
- Contributing to a nurturing and structured learning environment
- Communicating with families
We Are Looking For Someone Who Is
- Enthusiastic, approachable, and friendly
- Has experience supporting children with SEND
- Is patient, empathetic, and adaptable
- Can work effectively as part of a team and independently
- Is committed to promoting inclusion and celebrating every child’s strengths
- Has good literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
- Has experience of early years and the early years curriculum
- A person who understands our children and our community and who is able to build supportive and respectful relationships with children whilst maintaining confidentiality and following the school’s Code of Conduct
- An energetic individual who smiles often, engages with the children, and models the values and ethos of our school at all times.
- Ensures all children feel safe, happy, and able to learn
- Supportive of the ethos of a Church and Trust school.

Peakirk is a proud member of PDET, alongside 36 other schools in the Rutland, Peterborough, and Northamptonshire area. PDET is responsible for employing all staff and managing the finances and other central services for the Academies in the Trust. These services include HR support, facilities and premises, procurement, and school effectiveness.
