Are you passionate about helping young people learn and grow? Lift North Thorseby is looking for an 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a real difference in our children's lives every day. Could this be the start of something special for you?

About The Role

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you'll provide tailored support to an individual pupil and (at times) small groups, and contribute to a calm, purposeful learning environment where every young person feels safe, seen, and supported. This role will predominantly be a one-to-one support role, however flexibility to work across the school is required at times.

Key Responsibilities

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Supporting a child on a one-to-one basis or at times in small groups during focused activities
  • Encouraging language development through play, songs, and conversation
  • Observing and recording progress, feeding this back to the class teacher
  • Supporting personal care needs with kindness and dignity
  • Helping to create stimulating, well-organised learning spaces
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and staff
  • Promoting good behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and a sense of belonging

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
