Start Date: ASAP
Pay Scale: £90.00 - £105.00 per day

Are you a dedicated and resilient 1:1 Behaviour Mentor looking for a rewarding role supporting young people who need additional guidance and encouragement? Do you have experience working with children or young people who display challenging behaviour, require emotional support, or benefit from consistent mentoring?

A welcoming and supportive Specialist School in Reading is seeking a committed 1:1 Behaviour Mentor to join their team as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a 1:1 Behaviour Mentor to work closely with pupils who require individualized support to help them engage positively with learning and school life.

  • Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with behavioural and emotional needs
  • Building a positive and trusting relationship
  • Supporting them to develop emotional regulation and social skills
  • Implementing behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
  • Encouraging positive engagement both inside and outside the classroom
  • Working closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals
  • Creating a structured, safe, and supportive learning environment
  • ASAP start in a well-connected Reading location

The successful 1:1 Behaviour Mentor will be patient, proactive, and passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning. Previous experience in education, youth work, mentoring, care, sports coaching, or a similar setting would be highly beneficial.
