Our vision is to be a school that challenges, develops, and nurtures every child, where every child is free to be themselves. We constantly strive to change and to improve, to deliver a modern education that prepares our children for an exciting future, encouraging them to aim high and dream big. Our school is young, vibrant, and thriving. We are committed to innovation and are always exploring ways to keep our forward-thinking curriculum fresh, challenging and relevant. We embrace change and are never afraid to shake things up to ensure we deliver the best for our children. We are ambitious about academic success, while ensuring that our childrens wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do, enabling them to be free to be themselves. Our broad, and exciting curriculum inspires curiosity, right from the early years. It goes beyond the academics; we are teaching skills for life along with a broad range of co-curricular subjects. We offer exceptional facilities, including a STEM centre, drama studio and expansive spaces for sports, featuring a full-sized astro pitch, netball courts, huge sports hall and indoor pool. We are not a feeder for any senior schools, we work to help parents identify aspirational but realistic school choices and prepare the children within the normal school timetable so that every child leaves us for their senior school of choice feeling valued, prepared, confident and ready to thrive. Our active and supportive parent community plays an integral role in our school, collaborating with us to raise funds for initiatives like new climbing frames and library enhancements.
Banstead Prep School is part of United Learning, a large, and growing, group of schools aiming to offer a life-changing education to children and young people across England. United Learning is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
