All about the role:

We are seeking a calm, patient and highly consistent 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child who can find aspects of the school day challenging and may need additional help to regulate their emotions and behaviour. The successful candidate will build a secure and trusting relationship with the child, recognise potential triggers and use positive, proactive strategies to help them remain engaged in learning. Experience of supporting children with social, emotional and mental health needs, emotional regulation or distressed behaviour would be highly beneficial. The ability to remain calm, maintain clear boundaries and respond sensitively during difficult moments is essential. The hours are 8.30am to 3pm (with a 30 minute lunchbreak) Monday to Friday. 30 hours per week, 38 weeks per year. The successful candidate will be employed under a Named Pupil Contract, with the role funded to provide dedicated support for a specific pupil and therefore linked to that pupil's attendance and support needs within the school.
