132kV SAP | HV Cables & Substations

Experts Group International is supporting a major UK power infrastructure contractor on a significant 132kV cable and substation project in Staffordshire and is looking to speak with experienced Senior Authorised Persons (SAPs) for a long-term contract opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control electrical safety throughout the project.
  • Support HV cable installation and jointing activities.
  • Lead SAP duties during HV testing and commissioning.
  • Manage switching operations, isolations, permits, and safety documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with NGED electrical safety rules.

Requirements:

  • 132kV Senior Authorised Person (SAP) authorisation.
  • NGED SAP authorisation (highly desirable).
  • Proven experience on HV cable and substation projects.
  • GIS substation experience.
  • HV switching and isolation experience.
  • Permit-to-Work and Sanction for Test experience.
  • Previous experience supporting cable installation, jointing, testing, and energisation.
