18-week RTT Team Leader
We are seeking a motivated and organised 18-week RTT Team Leader to support the delivery of elective care standards across the Trust. This is an important role within the Elective Care team, providing day-to-day leadership to the corporate RTT Validation Team and helping ensure patient pathways are accurately maintained in line with national Referral to Treatment rules and the Trust Elective Access Policy.
The post holder will oversee waiting list validation activity, support the management of Patient Tracking Lists, and work closely with clinical and operational teams to improve data quality, reduce pathway risks and support delivery against elective access standards. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, confidence in using information systems and the ability to support and guide a team working in a busy operational environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with NHS administrative or operational experience who is looking to develop their leadership skills and contribute to improving patient access, pathway accuracy and elective care performance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
