Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bournemouth for an 18th Edition Electrician / 2391 Tester. The role involves carrying out electrical installations, upgrades, and modifications on residential, commercial, and care home projects in line with current regulations and company standards. - Testing and inspecting new and existing electrical systems
- Diagnosing faults
- Performing repairs
- Completing certification and documentation accurately

The electrician will work from technical drawings, liaise with site supervisors and other trades, and ensure all work is completed safely, on time, and to a high standard. The role also includes:
- Routine maintenance
- Adherence to health and safety procedures
- Occasional support with design and planning of electrical layouts
Qualifications
- Strong practical skills in Electricity and Electrical Work, with the ability to carry out installations and modifications in accordance with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Experience in Maintenance & Repair and Troubleshooting of electrical systems, including fault-finding, corrective actions, and routine servicing.
- Understanding of Electrical Engineering principles relevant to building services and safe operation of electrical installations.
- Valid 18th Edition (BS 7671) qualification and City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) in Inspection and Testing.
- Proven experience as a qualified electrician within residential, commercial, or similar environments, preferably with contractor or site-based work.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications, with strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
- Commitment to health and safety, including safe systems of work, use of PPE, and compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
- Full UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK; ECS card or equivalent industry accreditation is advantageous.
