Job Title: 1st – 2nd Line IT Support Engineer
Location: Clevedon, Somerset
Salary: £24,000–£30,000
Peaple Talent are working with an established technology business that is expanding its IT services team. They are looking for a 1st–2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join a close-knit technical team, supporting a range of business customers and gaining exposure to a broad mix of Microsoft, networking, cloud and security technologies.
The Role:
- Take ownership of incoming support requests, working across phone, email and the service desk to resolve issues within agreed timescales.
- Troubleshoot a range of user, hardware, software, connectivity and Microsoft-related problems, escalating where required.
- Support customer environments across Microsoft 365, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and Windows devices.
- Assist with user onboarding, equipment setup, account changes and endpoint deployments, including occasional customer site visits.
- Keep customers updated throughout the support process while contributing to documentation, knowledge sharing and service improvements.

The Candidate:
- Previous experience in an IT support, helpdesk or service desk position, ideally within an MSP or customer-facing environment.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive, with exposure to Entra ID or Intune advantageous.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs and wireless connectivity.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
- Organised, customer-focused and keen to develop technically across infrastructure, cloud and security.

The Package:
- £25,000–£30,000 salary depending on experience
