IT Support Engineer

Robert Half Technology is supporting a professional services organisation in London in the search for an experienced IT Support Engineer to provide hands-on 1st and 2nd line support during a period of transition.

This is an immediate-start contract opportunity focused on maintaining a high-quality IT service for end users while the business recruits a permanent IT leadership hire. You'll act as the primary on-site IT contact, supporting users across the organisation and ensuring the smooth running of core systems and devices.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide responsive 1st and 2nd line IT support to approximately 70 users.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for IT-related issues, delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Manage and resolve support tickets while maintaining clear communication with end users.
  • Support the onboarding and offboarding process, including device provisioning and account management.
  • Deploy and configure laptops using Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot.
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365, including user accounts, licensing, groups, multifactor authentication, and password management.
  • Assist with application deployment and updates through endpoint management tools.
  • Support collaboration and workplace technologies, including Microsoft Teams, video conferencing solutions, mobile devices, and meeting room equipment.
  • Maintain IT asset records, licensing information, and support documentation.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external technology partners to ensure issues are resolved efficiently.
  • Escalate more complex technical issues where appropriate.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
