At Vertu Motors, we are proud of the career development opportunities we provide our colleagues. Due to an internal promotion within our IT team, we are now looking to recruit a 1st Line Desktop Support Technician to join the Group IT function.
Our IT team aims "to provide world-class IT systems that enable Vertu to deliver an outstanding customer motoring experience", and this role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a large, successful business.
The working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm, based at Team Valley, Gateshead.
Salary: £24,784.5 per annum
This role would suit someone with previous IT support experience, but we would also welcome applications from individuals who have recently completed an IT Apprenticeship and are looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and fast-paced IT environment.

You will be self-motivated, eager to learn and passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
What You'll Need
You will ideally have knowledge or experience of:
- PCs and Microsoft operating systems, including desktop and server environments
- Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 applications
- Active Directory and domain environments
- Microsoft Outlook, Exchange and email security platforms
- Networking concepts including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP and VPN access
- Remote support tools such as Remote Desktop and VNC
- Printers, scanners and wireless network devices
- Internet setup, troubleshooting and access management
- Diagnosing and resolving IT issues remotely
The Following Would Be Advantageous But Are Not Essential
- Knowledge of motor retail manufacturer systems and interfaces
- Experience of IP telephony and SIP technologies
