Location: Central London

Contract: Temporary, 2 to 3 months

Hours: Part-time, 28 hours over 4 days per week

Salary: £17.78 per hour (+ holiday)

Start Date: ASAP

About Prospectus

Prospectus is proud to be supporting our client, an internationally recognised and highly impactful human rights charity, in their search for a temporary 1st Line IT Support Officer. Please note that internally this role is called IT Administrator.

The successful applicant will be one of the first points of contact for colleagues requiring technical support, helping to resolve IT issues, and ensuring users receive excellent service. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT professional to utilise and refine their skills within a meaningful organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line IT support via phone, email and helpdesk systems.
  • Log, track and update support tickets accurately.
  • Resolve routine hardware, software and user account issues.
  • Escalate more complex technical issues to senior IT team members.
  • Assist with laptop and desktop setup, imaging and configuration.
  • Maintain IT asset registers and software licence records.
  • Support the management of loan equipment and IT stock.
  • Assist with IT purchasing, supplier coordination and contract administration.
  • Produce reports from helpdesk and telephone systems where required.
  • Contribute to maintaining a reliable and efficient IT service for all users.

Requirements:

  • Recent, relevant experience in a similar IT role, ideally within a not-for-profit or charitable organisation.
  • Strong IT proficiency, with the ability to assist with Microsoft products and office hardware.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to build strong stakeholder relationships.
  • High level of organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Collaborative and proactive approach, with the capability to work both independently and in a team.
