1st Line IT Support Technician
Edinburgh (Office-Based)
Are you currently working on an IT service desk and looking for your next step? If you've got around a year's commercial IT support experience and you're keen to develop your technical skills, take on more responsibility, and progress your career, this could be a great opportunity for you.
We are working with a growing MSP in Edinburgh who are looking for a 1st Line IT Support Technician to join their team.
You'll be joining a friendly and supportive environment where you'll get exposure to a wide range of technologies, work with different clients, and have plenty of opportunity to learn from experienced engineers.
What will you be doing?
You'll be one of the first points of contact for clients when they have an IT issue, so being approachable and able to communicate clearly is just as important as your technical knowledge.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
