1st Line Risk & Conduct SME (Contract) (inside IR35)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 1st Line Risk & Conduct SME to support the design and launch of a major UK wealth management proposition.
This role sits at the heart of proposition development, ensuring client journeys, service models and governance frameworks are built with strong regulatory oversight and Consumer Duty considerations from day one.
Remit
- Providing 1st Line risk expertise across proposition design and delivery
- Reviewing client journeys through a regulatory and conduct lens
- Identifying control, governance and compliance requirements
- Supporting Consumer Duty and FCA regulatory alignment
- Partnering with Legal, Compliance, Operations and Proposition teams
- Challenging designs where client or regulatory risks exist
- Contributing to launch readiness and governance approvals

What we're looking for
- Strong 1st Line Risk experience within Wealth Management, Private Banking or Investment Management
- Practical knowledge of Consumer Duty and FCA regulation
- Experience supporting new propositions, products or operating models
- Strong understanding of governance, controls and conduct risk
- Ability to work with senior stakeholders and influence decision making
- Commercially aware, pragmatic and delivery-focused approach
