1st Line Support Analyst - Altrincham

£25,000-27,000 + Benefits

The Role

We're looking for a 1st Line Support Analyst to join a busy and growing support team, providing first-class technical support to users across the business.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, solving problems, and developing their technical skills within a supportive team environment. You'll be the first point of contact for a wide range of IT issues, ensuring users receive a fast, professional, and effective service.

The Opportunity

Working as part of the Infrastructure Support team and reporting into the Infrastructure Team Lead, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of technologies while developing your career within a well-established IT function.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a helpdesk or service desk background looking to build their infrastructure and support experience.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Acting as the first point of contact for technical support requests.
  • Logging, updating, and resolving tickets through the service desk system.
  • Supporting users both remotely and on-site with hardware, software, and access-related issues.
  • Troubleshooting Microsoft 365, Windows, and end-user device issues.
  • Supporting printers, mobile devices, meeting room technology, and peripherals.
  • Escalating issues where appropriate while maintaining ownership and communication throughout.
  • Contributing to a positive customer experience and strong service delivery standards.

Technology Environment

You'll gain experience across:

  • Windows 10/11.
  • Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.
  • Apple devices and mobile technology.
  • Networking fundamentals including Wi-Fi and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • VOIP and video conferencing technology.
  • Service desk and remote support tools.

What You Bring

  • Previous experience in a Service Desk, Helpdesk, or IT Support role.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Good troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft technologies would be advantageous.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and remain calm under pressure.
