Location: Flexible - able to travel within our operating region
Hours: 37 hours per week
Closing date: 27 August 2026

If you are looking to kickstart your career in IT and Customer Service is your thing, this role could be for you.

As a 1st Line Technical Support team member, you’ll be delivering a key IT triage service and rapid response service to all Aster group colleagues in the use of technology.

Day to day you will find yourself delivering excellent customer service, making sure that you provide up to date progress reports, avoiding the use of jargon and communicating in a way that supports your customer's needs.

  • You’ll be documenting fixes and escalating incidents and requests to other colleagues in the IT team when extra support is required.
  • You will be aware of repeating issues and will understand the need to highlight these, to ensure they are managed and resolved.

We’ll look to develop you in the role and salary increments will be paid once role specific training has been completed.

About you

  • You will be confident in your organisation and time management skills, and you will be able to adapt your day due to changing priorities.
  • You’ll have a customer service background and providing great customer service will be really important to you.
  • You will hold strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • It’ll be great if you have experience in delivering IT services to colleagues who are not confident with technology. Having a calm approach and adjusting your communication style will be a natural skill.
  • You will see yourself as analytical, with a logical approach and won’t be concerned about asking for help if you need it.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
