ACE is the Regional Adoption Agency covering Coventry, Herefordshire, Solihull, Warwickshire and Worcestershire.

About The Role
The role focuses on supporting adopted children and their families through:
- Post-adoption support services
- Therapeutic interventions and family support
- Letterbox contact arrangements
- Young people's groups, stay and play sessions, and family activities
- Non-agency assessments
- Delivery of training for adoptive parents
ACE Social workers are expected to:
- Build trusting and attuned relationships with adoptive families
- Support children recovering from trauma, loss and disrupted attachments
- Help families develop emotionally connected parenting approaches
- Promote long-term placement stability and resilience
Overall, these are specialist adoption roles best suited to experienced social workers with a strong interest in adoption, attachment, trauma recovery and therapeutic family support.
Key Requirements:
Candidates should demonstrate:
- Strong knowledge of children's social work practice
- Experience and understanding of adoption services
- Commitment to permanency and positive outcomes for children
- Understanding of attachment, developmental trauma and therapeutic parenting
- Ability to work effectively within multi-agency partnerships
