Safeguarding Administrator

Salary: £27,733 per annum pro rata
Full Time / Term Time / Fixed Term

Working 20 hours per week across five days on a term-time only basis, you'll join a highly committed Safeguarding and Student Welfare Team at one of Bristol's highest-performing Sixth Form Colleges. This is a fixed term role from September – August 2027 (1 Year), [Actual salary: £13,124.09, Term Time Only].

At St Brendan's Sixth Form College, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for an organised, professional and compassionate Safeguarding Administrator to provide vital administrative support to the safeguarding and welfare teams.

This is a rewarding opportunity to play an important role behind the scenes, helping ensure safeguarding concerns are managed effectively, records are maintained accurately, and students receive the support they need when they need it most.

You'll Bring

  • Previous administrative or reception experience within a busy office environment
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and administrative systems
  • An understanding of confidentiality and data protection requirements
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • A proactive, professional and collaborative approach to work

What You'll Be Doing

Working closely with our Safeguarding and Student Welfare Teams, you will:

  • Maintain safeguarding systems and ensure records are accurate, secure and up to date
  • Support the administration of referrals, concerns, disclosures and safeguarding cases
  • Respond professionally to enquiries from students, parents, staff and external professionals
  • Coordinate welfare referrals, appointments and waiting lists
  • Prepare documentation, reports and meeting papers
  • Organise and minute safeguarding meetings and multi-agency discussions
  • Support safeguarding communications, training and induction activities
  • Help ensure the smooth and efficient operation of safeguarding and welfare services across the College
