Salary: £45,000

About Us

Schroders is a global investment manager which provides active asset management, wealth management and investment solutions. We aim to provide excellent investment performance to clients through active management. We serve a diverse client base that includes pension schemes, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations, high net worth individuals, family offices, as well as end clients through partnerships with distributors, financial advisers, and online platforms.

Established in 1804, we have around 5,500 people across 36 global locations. Schroders' success can be attributed to its diversified business model, spanning different asset classes, client types and geographies.

Why Finance:

Finance at Schroders is about much more than numbers. It gives you a unique view of how a global asset manager operates – from financial control and regulatory reporting, to partnering with senior leaders to drive strategic, commercial decision making. As a Finance graduate, you’ll work with teams that help the business make informed decisions, manage risk, and deliver sustainable growth.

This graduate programme is best suited to candidates who are genuinely interested in building a career in Finance. While you’ll gain exposure to the wider asset management industry, the role is not an investment management or client-facing programme.

Programme overview:

The Schroders Graduate programme is two years long. However, we provide an additional third year of rotations in Finance to support your professional qualification journey and give you broader, practical experience across the function. The programme is designed to help you develop the technical skills, business understanding and professional judgement needed to build a long-term career in Finance.

During the Graduate programme, you may support work across financial planning and analysis, finance operations, regulatory reporting, control activities and business partnering. This could include analysing financial information, preparing presentations, supporting reporting processes, improving ways of working, and collaborating with colleagues across Finance and the wider business.

Who we’re looking for:

We’re looking for proactive, curious and motivated graduates who are excited by the opportunity to understand how Finance supports a global investment management business. You’ll enjoy working with numbers, asking thoughtful questions, building relationships across teams and communicating your ideas clearly. We value people who take ownership, are willing to get stuck in and challenge the status quo and bring enthusiasm and energy to new challenges.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
