Your Mission
We are looking for motivated and forward-thinking Civil Engineers to work on the design of the Hinkley Point C (HPC) and Sizewell C (SZC) nuclear power plants, as well as our future pipeline of projects. You will apply your engineering and problem-solving skills to successfully deliver our projects, in collaboration with clients, contractors, stakeholders, and our project teams.
Your Key Responsibilities
The following points indicate some of the key responsibilities and activities that our graduate engineers could be expected to undertake:
- Learning how to, and completing, structural design of new-build nuclear structures, including for accidental situations such as seismic and blast.
- Developing skills to perform analysis of structures within commercial FEM packages.
- Coordinating and communicating on complex engineering problems between project stakeholders.
- Providing analysis and responding to queries originating from construction sites.
- Coordinating the transfer of design information to reinforcement detailers.
- Developing strong relationships and collaborating with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate would meet the following requirements and criteria:
- Master’s in Civil or Structural Engineering.
The following experience is also beneficial:
- Programming skills in one or several languages are a plus.
- Experience in the use of structural FEM software during your studies.
