Your opportunity
Our vacation schemes are designed to give you a taste of what it's like to tackle exciting challenges and deliver high-profile work that matters to our clients.
Gaining exposure to live deals and cases is a valuable part of your professional development. During the three-week scheme, you'll have the opportunity to experience two different practice areas, allowing you to tailor your placement to your interests and gain insight into the breadth of work we do.
In each seat, you'll be supervised by one of our colleagues, working closely with them on meaningful client matters and developing the skills needed for a successful legal career. Typical tasks may include legal research, drafting, due diligence, document review, and preparing for client meetings.
You'll receive feedback at the end of your first seat, giving you the opportunity to reflect, develop and apply your learning throughout the remainder of the scheme.
Alongside your seat experience, you'll attend a range of presentations, workshops and networking events designed to deepen your understanding of our practice areas, build your commercial awareness, and provide insight into what it takes to succeed as a commercial lawyer at HSF Kramer.
At the end of your scheme, you will be considered for a place on our Trainee Associate Programme dependent on your performance.
Our Summer Vacation Schemes Will Take Place Between
- Scheme 1: 7 June 2027 – 25 June 2027
- Scheme 2: 5 July 2027 - 23 July 2027
What You'll Get In Return
We support and care for you to help you grow, with a complete package that includes:
- A trainee buddy who will be on hand to share invaluable advice and support you in each of the practice areas you sit in
- A salary of £500 per each week of the scheme.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
