Role Overview

What role will you play?

As a graduate in Macquarie Asset Management, you’ll be a part of providing investment solutions to a broad range of clients. You'll gain exposure to how investment opportunities are identified, evaluated and managed to help deliver outcomes for clients. You'll join a team with more than three decades of experience investing in the real assets that power progress, helping prepare societies and portfolios for what's next.

Depending On Your Individual Role, You Could Be

  • analysing investment opportunities, risks and market trends across real estate, infrastructure, private credit and real assets
  • researching sectors, markets, assets, and portfolio companies to support investment and risk management decisions
  • supporting due diligence, investment reviews, risk assessments, and portfolio management activity
  • preparing client materials, market updates and presentations that help communicate insights and recommendations
  • supporting client engagement, product development, marketing and communications activities that help connect investors with Macquarie's investment capabilities across asset management and wealth solutions

What You'll Do as a Graduate

As a Graduate, You Will

  • Take part in an orientation to learn about Macquarie business groups, with your fellow analysts and expand your professional network.
  • Receive formal training, including financial modelling and presentation skills, but at its core the program provides practical on-the-job learning to further your career. If you have ideas that have merit, we’ll give you the opportunity to develop and test them to create new possibilities.
  • Build strong connections and work collaboratively while also partnering directly with our business leaders on meaningful and challenging work.
  • Receive support from your manager and aligned mentor as you gain genuine insight into our industry.
  • Be encouraged to give back through the Macquarie Group Foundation which provides support to hundreds of community organisations each year through financial support, volunteering and skills sharing.

What You Offer

You have a unique perspective. We want to hear it. We welcome applications from students in their penultimate year of study of an undergraduate or master's degree, or students undertaking a final year undergraduate degree and planning to continue to a master's degree, graduating in January to July 2027.

  • You are studying a discipline such as economics, finance, management, mathematics, engineering, computer science or another quantitative or analytical field of study.
  • You are a critical thinker with strong numerical skills and can articulate your thoughts and ideas clearly.
  • You like to collaborate with others and are comfortable building strong working relationships.
  • You have an interest in financial services and bring a proactive, resourceful and positive attitude, as well as a strong work ethic.
  • You are eager to learn, contribute to real business outcomes and work with people who bring different perspectives and experiences.
  • You have a strong attention to detail with experience and comfort in Excel.
