What You’ll Be Doing
During your Year in Industry, you’ll be:
- Supporting manufacturing and production teams on live projects
- Analyse processes and identity improvement opportunities
- Assist with quality, safety or efficiency initiatives
- Collaborate with teams across the site
- Present your work at the end of the programme
This is a hands-on role – you’ll be out on the shop floor, not just behind a desk.

What We Are Looking For
You’ll be:
- Studying a degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Food Science, or a related discipline.
- In your penultimate or final year of study.
- Curious about how things are made and passionate about operations.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, practical environment.
- A strong communicator who thrives in a team setting.
- No previous industrial experience required – just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn

Programme Details
- Start date: August 2027
- Duration: 12 months
- Locations: Wakefield, Sidcup, Edmonton, East Kilbride
- Assessment Centre: December 2026, January 2027 (at site, location tbc)
