Central London – in office 5 days a week, no hybrid

13-month placement starting July 2027

If you want a placement year where you build something from scratch, not just help with someone else's, keep reading.

G&E Group is a collective of 4 specialist executive search firm operating in industries that quite literally shape the world around us: construction, infrastructure, renewable energy, advanced tech, and data centres. We specialise in the US market, working with senior leaders and companies generating billions in revenue, helping them hire the executives who drive major projects forward.

We're growing fast, and we've reached the point where our brand needs to grow with us. That's where you come in. We're looking for a creative, driven placement student to take ownership of our social media and shape how G&E brands show up to clients, candidates and future hires.

Internally, we only hire from entry level, so you will be joining a young, dynamic team, with regular social opportunities and a chance to market towards your own peer group, as well as C-suites and Executives.

Why this is different from most placement roles

  • You'll have real responsibility from day 1.
  • Taking part ownership in setting the group marketing strategy, you get to create the content and decide what works. Your ideas go live, not into a slide deck.
  • Your work will be seen by people who matter.
  • Our audience is presidents, directors and C-suite leaders across the US. Building a LinkedIn presence that earns their attention is a real commercial challenge, and one that'll stand out on your CV.
  • You'll leave with a portfolio, not just a reference.
  • By the end of your placement you'll have a year of strategy, campaigns and measurable results you can point to in any graduate interview.
  • You'll see how a high-performance business works from the inside.
  • You'll work closely with consultants and leadership in a fast-paced, commercial environment, and learn how executive search and sales operate at a senior level.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What you'll actually do

  • Build and own our social media strategy across LinkedIn and Instagram, defining our tone of voice and planning content around it to further drive our stellar market reputation.
  • Create content: posts, graphics, short-form video, team and culture content, and market insights from our specialist sectors.
  • Strengthen our employer brand to attract top graduate talent, showing what life at G&E is really like (Instagram will play a big part here).
  • Support our consultants' personal brands on LinkedIn, helping them post with confidence and consistency.
  • Track performance with analytics tools, report results to leadership in plain English, and use the data to improve what we do.
  • Spot new opportunities, whether that's new formats, trends, platforms or tools that could help us grow.
  • Help organise and execute graduate fair events, as well as preparation for industry summits and conferences

Training and support

You will be reporting directly to our Group Learning and Development Director, with support from the internal team, including Operations, AI and commercial development. There will be opportunity to further develop and implement the skills you have built from your degree, as well as gaining exposure and building relationships with our MDs and members of the Board.
