Ready to take your first step into the world of Private Banking?
At Weatherbys, we're passionate about investing in future talent. Our Summer Internship Programme is designed to give you real responsibility, meaningful work and the opportunity to make an impact from day one.
As an intern, you will contribute to live projects, gain exposure to senior leaders and develop a deeper understanding of how a relationship-led private bank operates. Rather than observing from the sidelines, you'll become part of the team, building valuable experience while helping to deliver real outcomes for our clients and colleagues.
Our programme has a strong track record of success, with many former interns progressing on to our Associate Private Banker Programme and establishing long-term careers with Weatherbys.
The Programme
Based in our London office, this is an in-person internship designed for individuals interested in pursuing a career in Private Banking.
The programme is primarily aimed at students expected to graduate in 2027.
Throughout the internship, you will gain exposure to a variety of areas across the Bank while working closely with experienced colleagues and industry professionals. The programme provides a unique opportunity to develop your commercial awareness, relationship-building skills and understanding of private banking in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Successful interns may be considered for progression to the Associate Private Banker assessment process following completion of the programme.
Programme Dates
Monday 5 July 2027 to Thursday 26 August 2027

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
