As a participant in our 12-month Corporate Placements Programme in the Sales Department at our Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Headquarters in Watford – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by contributing to the memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Here’s what you can look forward to as a programme participant:

  • Prepare for a career in hospitality: Embark on a 12-month transformative journey, encompassing a structured framework of learning and development opportunities, business support activities, and ownership of your own project-based initiatives.
  • Gain hands-on operational experience: From day one, you’ll be fully integrated into Team Hilton. Connect with professionals across the business and gain insight into Sales. Take the opportunity to gain insight into at least one other business area, paving the way for valuable future relationships. 
  • Work on real-world projects: Apply your skills on the job through business-driven projects to reinforce your learning and gain hands-on experience.
  • Develop your skills through world-class training and support: Access Hilton University’s e-learning modules and business library while building knowledge through business-driven projects.
  • Grow with personalised guidance: Benefit from regular feedback and coaching to ensure your progress is supported at every stage of the programme.

  • Salary & Benefits: £27,500 gross per annum & private healthcare. 
  • Location: At our EMEA Headquarters in Watford, with some flexibility depending on team and business need. You will benefit from a subsidised restaurant, a games area and a free in-house gym.

We have a range of placement opportunities within our highly talented Sales department:

Hilton Worldwide Sales (HWS) Placements

Our HWS team is offering 3 placements. If selected for one of these roles, you will join Hilton’s global sales team and get hands-on with the world’s biggest brands, events, and destinations. This placement would suit someone who is curious, proactive, detail-loving and ready to roll up their sleeves and learn fast. If you’re into travel, events, and making things happen, this placement could be a great fit!

Here’s a glimpse of some of the things you will do:

  • Support our specialist teams working with top-tier clients in corporate, events, leisure, entertainment & airlines.
  • Dive into real projects: group bookings, client meetings, global hotel enquiries.
  • Create great content: presentations, newsletters & social posts.
  • Keep things running smoothly with admin tasks & Salesforce updates.
  • Help us stay sharp with reports, data, and client insights.
  • Work with a global brand that’s all about hospitality and innovation.
  • Build your network across industries and region.
  • Learn the ropes of sales, marketing, and client management.
  • Be part of a team that values creativity, collaboration, and growth.

Sales Enablement Team Placement

You will be working with the Sales Enablement Centre of Excellence Team in supporting team members based in hotels across Europe, Middle East and Africa. Ensuring they are enabled with all the assets and resources needed to deliver exceptional customer service during the enquiry journey, delivering commercial targets and developing their career opportunities.

Here’s a glimpse of some of the things you will do:

  • Support the process of creating, communicating, activating analysing and then assessing initiatives.
  • Delivering to deadlines, managing distribution lists and communication platforms, ensuring that all team members are receiving up to date assets in a timely fashion.
  • Be integral in ensuring communication tools are creative and engaging.
  • Processing, reviewing, analyzing and communicating data with the objective of driving data quality and quick enquiry responses by hotels, so they are optimizing the tools they have available to them.
  • Manage some key projects through the year and will also support the team in delivering national and potentially international events to deliver messages, initiatives and training to the hotel commercial teams.
  • Network and gain understanding of multiple departments across Hilton through liaising with key partners across other functions.

Hilton Worldwide Sales Support / Special Events Placement

You will join the regional EMEA sales support team and play an integral role in supporting our sales team with administrative and event planning tasks. This placement would suit someone who is highly organised, solution orientated, proactive, detail-loving and ready to roll up their sleeves and offer support where needed. If you’re into events, have a creative flair and enjoy working in a highly collaborative environment this placement could be a great fit!

Here’s a glimpse of some of the things you will do:

  • Offer administrative & event planning support to our specialist teams working with top-tier clients across all segments (corporate, group, leisure, sport, entertainment & airline).
  • Create great content: presentations, invites, newsletters & social posts.
  • Keep things running smoothly with admin tasks & Salesforce updates.
  • Help us stay sharp with reports, data, and client insights.
  • Support the delivery of industry events & trade fairs.
  • Work with a global brand that’s all about hospitality and innovation.
  • Build your network across industries and region.
  • Learn the ropes of sales support and special events.
  • Be part of a team that values creativity, collaboration, and growth.
  • Contribute to team projects and training.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking individuals who embody the Hilton Values in addition to the following criteria:

  • A current bachelor’s or master’s student completing a degree that includes a required 12-month year in industry placement.
  • A Hospitality, Hotel Management, Event Planning, or Business Management related degree is preferred.
  • Availability to begin full-time employment on 5th July 2027, for a full-time 12-month placement.
  • You must have the independent right to work in the UK for the full duration of the 12-month placement. Please note that this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route, so we are unable to consider applications from candidates who would require sponsorship. If you hold a visa or status that allows you to work in the UK full-time without sponsorship (e.g. Settled Status, Pre-Settled Status, where a 12-month work placement is a permitted, required & assessed part of your UK University degree, or other independent work permissions), you are welcome to apply.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).
  • Exceptionally organised and comfortable prioritising and working to deadlines, with attention to detail.
  • Effective planning & project management skills and capabilities.
  • General commercial awareness and understanding / interest in the industry.
  • Strong communication skills: presentation, written, and public speaking.
  • Understanding of AI tools and how they can be used to support delivery of information & creative assets.
  • Flexible with the ability to travel, if required (c. Maximum 10% travel).
  • You should be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in Sales.
