On our Vacation Scheme based in London, you will learn what life is like at an international law firm as a trainee. You will meet your potential future colleagues during social activities and skills sessions, and gain experience by assisting lawyers with real deals.

Program Details

Our Vacation Schemes are designed so you can get to know the firm and the people you will potentially work alongside.

Applications for our 2027 Spring and Summer Vacation Schemes will open on 1 September 2026.

Our trainees gain invaluable experience of how our international law firm operates. From our practice areas and business functions to our infrastructure and culture, you will get an inside perspective on our work. With many opportunities to develop a network and establish professional relationships with our people, we can ensure you receive a practical, fulfilling, and well-rounded internship.

Perks

  • The Vacation Scheme salary is £650 per week, subject to National Insurance and tax deductions.
  • Mayer Brown will also contribute an additional £100 per week for travel expenses incurred as a result of the scheme.
  • You will also receive a personal allowance to be used at our internal canteen to cover food and drink costs.

This is a great way to further your research and prepare additional experiences to include in your application. Learn about transactions and experience typical trainee tasks through two hypothetical tasks that represent a “day in the life” of a trainee solicitor in our London Finance practice.
