We're looking for talented students to join our Group Internal Consulting – AI Engineering Summer Internship Program 2027.
Over the course of this 10-week internship, you'll gain first-hand experience of how UBS delivers transformation across the firm. You'll work alongside our consultants, data scientists and technology professionals on projects that help shape the future of the bank.
You'll have the opportunity to develop practical skills, expand your professional network and gain exposure to innovative technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, Agentic AI and Machine Learning. Through meaningful project work, training and collaboration with colleagues across UBS, you'll gain valuable insight into the world of consulting and financial services.
In This Role, You'll
- Support the delivery of projects within Group Internal Consulting, with a particular focus on Artificial Intelligence, Agentic AI and Machine Learning initiatives
- Conduct research, analyse data and contribute insights that support client engagements and business transformation projects
- Assist with the development, testing and documentation of innovative solutions that address business challenges
- Collaborate with consultants, data scientists and technology teams across the bank
- Contribute to presentations, workshops and stakeholder communications
- Learn about consulting methodologies, project delivery and problem-solving in a global financial institution
- Support project teams in identifying opportunities to improve processes, enhance client experiences and drive business value through technology
Your team
Group Internal Consulting (GIC) is UBS's internal consulting unit. We are a dynamic, driven and diverse team with over 500 colleagues across five regions globally. As part of the firm's Group Chief Operating Office (GCOO), we work in close partnership with all divisions and functions to drive transformation and change across UBS.

As an intern, you'll be part of a collaborative environment where you'll receive support from experienced professionals while contributing to meaningful work from day one.
Your expertise
We're Looking For a Candidate Who
- Is in the penultimate or final year of their bachelor or master’s degree
- Has or is on track for at least a 2.1 (UK grading system) or equivalent in their first undergraduate degree
- Has a strong interest in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, data analytics and emerging technologies
- Demonstrates analytical thinking and a structured approach to problem-solving
- Has basic experience with programming, data analysis or technology-related coursework, projects or extracurricular activities
- Is familiar with Python or other programming languages, with an interest in developing technical skills further
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Is curious, proactive and eager to learn from new experiences
- Can manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Is interested in business transformation, consulting and the financial services industry
It Would Be An Advantage If You Have
- Completed coursework or personal projects involving AI, machine learning or data analytics
- Experience working with Python libraries such as pandas, NumPy or scikit-learn
- Familiarity with Generative AI, prompt engineering, Large Language Models (LLMs) or related technologies
- Participated in hackathons, student societies, competitions or other extracurricular activities that demonstrate initiative and teamwork

Our Graduate Talent Program is 18 months long and is designed to help you develop the skills you need to grow your career. To start, the program introduces you to our firm, provides professional and technical training and teaches you core skills and knowledge about consulting. And it continues from there: by learning from your colleagues, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and build your network.
