Virtu Execution Services (VES) comprises of the firm's client-facing business encompassing Brokerage, Analytics, and Workflow technology. The increased technical roles under VES include Algo Development, Technology Support, and Analytics.

Roles within VES technical teams offer the opportunity to:

  • Become a multi-faceted Financial Services professional, joining a global team engaging with a wide range of vendors and institutional and retail clients
  • Receive an in-depth education on global financial markets and apply knowledge to a spectrum of Virtu's products and services - combining technology with business needs
  • Work alongside a select technical team to solve client queries and improve our products
  • Contribute to day-to-day tasks, such as automating workflows, investigating execution-based questions, and researching/building key processes

Location: London, United Kingdom (onsite) for openings in London & Dublin

Dates: 10-week programme, starting 21 June 2027 - 27 August 2027

Virtu is looking for top performers with the below qualifications:

  • Entering final year of school, or students expected to be ready for full-time employment between December 2027 - June 2028
  • Excellent academic background (all majors welcome)
  • Outstanding quantitative problem-solving skills and mathematical aptitude
  • Some programming experience is required (Python, SQL, Java, or C++ are a plus)
  • A physicaliser; a person who identifies issues and creates solutions without rigid direction or fanfare
  • Highly motivated and tenacious individual, with a proven ability to take initiative and work independently and within a team
  • Team player: authentic, genuine person capable of working towards collective goals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and can easily build new interpersonal relationships
