The Opportunity
As a Graduate Health Consultant, you'll work alongside experienced consultants, clinicians, public sector leaders, and multidisciplinary teams to help health and care organisations solve complex challenges and deliver meaningful change.
From your first day, you'll be involved in real projects that help improve healthcare services and patient outcomes. You'll gain valuable experience across a wide range of assignments while developing an understanding of the health and care sector, public policy, organisational transformation, and programme delivery.
With structured training, mentoring, and hands-on project experience, you'll build both your technical and professional skills in an environment that supports continuous learning and development.
What You'll Do
As part of our Healthcare Consulting team, you'll contribute to a variety of health and healthcare-focused projects and programmes. Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting healthcare organisations to design and deliver improvements that enhance outcomes for patients, service users, and communities.
- Carrying out research and analysis to help inform strategic decisions and evidence-based recommendations.
- Gathering, interpreting, and presenting data to identify insights, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Supporting stakeholder engagement activities, helping to bring together diverse perspectives and build consensus around shared goals.
- Assisting with workshops, presentations, and collaborative sessions with clients and project teams.
- Contributing to reports, business cases, strategies, and implementation plans that support positive change.
- Working with colleagues to develop innovative solutions that improve organisational performance and service delivery.
- Supporting the development of proposals and contributing to winning new opportunities that expand our impact within the health sector.
- Building your knowledge of healthcare systems, policy developments, and emerging trends affecting the future of health and care.
- Contributing to the day-to-day operations of the team and actively participating in team meetings, learning opportunities, and knowledge-sharing activities.

Candidate Specification
At Mott MacDonald, we’re looking for curious, motivated graduates who want to make a real difference. Join our purpose-driven teams where your ideas matter, your growth is supported, and your work enhances the world we live in.
To be eligible for this opportunity, you will have less than 12 months’ relevant experience (excluding placements) and have a bachelors degree (obtained no earlier than 2025) or expected to achieve one of the following degree disciplines:
- Health Management
- Healthcare Leadership
- Public Health
- Health Policy
- Social Sciences
- Economics
- Geography
- Psychology
- Business Management
- Politics
- Life Sciences
- Or a related discipline
This opportunity will require you to be eligible to achieve security clearance. Security clearance is dictated by the types of projects we work on and normally requires you to be a UK British national or lived in the UK for five years or more.
In your application, you should aim to demonstrate your genuine interest in both the opportunity and in joining Mott MacDonald. You can do this by highlighting any relevant experience or interests - such as modules you've studied, previous work experience, or any research you've undertaken about our company, values, and projects.

UK Immigration
Mott MacDonald Ltd. are not currently offering sponsorship to candidates under the Skilled Worker visa route in the UK. This decision is as a consequence of the changes made to the Skilled Worker route by the UK Government in April 2024.
Our ethos is to develop, train and retain our graduates and therefore we are looking for a long-term relationship with our graduates. For this reason, we cannot accept applications from candidates who would be working under the Graduate visa route or other time-limited visas, (irrespective of visa duration), due to their temporary nature and the requirement for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route in future.
