As a Graduate Information Manager working on Defence projects, you'll help shape the future of digital delivery within our engineering teams, supporting projects that improve connectivity, strengthen communities, and create more sustainable places to live and work.

The Opportunity

Digital information sits at the heart of modern engineering and construction. As projects become increasingly complex, effective information management and BIM are essential to delivering high-quality, coordinated, and sustainable solutions.
As a Graduate Information Manager, you'll join a collaborative and supportive team where you'll learn from experienced professionals while developing your technical, digital, and communication skills. What You'll Do
As part of our multidisciplinary structural engineering and digital delivery teams, you will:
- Support the implementation of BIM and information management processes across a range of projects.
- Assist with the management, coordination, and validation of project information and digital deliverables.
- Help maintain Common Data Environments (CDEs) and ensure project information is accurate, accessible, and compliant with agreed standards.
- Support project teams in applying information management principles and BIM best practice.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of BIM Execution Plans, information standards, and project workflows.
- Assist with digital coordination activities and model reviews across multidisciplinary teams.
- Support the production of project reports, dashboards, and data-driven insights that enable informed decision making.
- Work with engineers, designers, project managers, and digital specialists to improve project delivery and collaboration.
- Explore emerging technologies, digital tools, and innovative approaches that support improved engineering outcomes.
- Participate in project meetings, workshops, and knowledge-sharing activities to build your professional network and understanding of the wider industry.

This role will require occasional travel within the UK, including overnight stays where necessary. All business travel and accommodation costs will be covered by Mott MacDonald.

Candidate Specification

To be eligible for this opportunity, you will have less than 12 months’ relevant experience (excluding placements) and have a bachelors degree (obtained no earlier than 2025) or expected to achieve one of the following degree disciplines:
- Building Information Modelling (BIM)
- Digital Engineering
- Structural Engineering
- Architectural Technology
- Construction Management
- Information Management
- Data and Digital Engineering
- Built Environment
- Business
- Or a related discipline
This opportunity will require you to be eligible to achieve security clearance. Security clearance is dictated by the types of projects we work on and normally requires you to be a UK British national or lived in the UK for five years or more.
In your application, you should aim to demonstrate your genuine interest in both the opportunity and in joining Mott MacDonald. You can do this by highlighting any relevant experience or interests - such as modules you've studied, previous work experience, or any research you've undertaken about our company, values, and projects.

UK Immigration
Mott MacDonald Ltd. are not currently offering sponsorship to candidates under the Skilled Worker visa route in the UK. This decision is as a consequence of the changes made to the Skilled Worker route by the UK Government in April 2024.
Our ethos is to develop, train and retain our graduates and therefore we are looking for a long-term relationship with our graduates.
