Job Description

Job Overview

This role is based in Mid-Kent (Maidstone), with full and part-time options available. You will have a fixed base location with expectations to travel as operational delivery requires to other offices within the region. You will receive travel allowance at the relevant financial year rate and terms of contract.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise work groups of offenders serving a community sentence.
  • Ensure all tasks are carried out to the best of their ability.
  • Work alongside service users to demonstrate good practice as necessary.
  • Work flexible hours, including weekend shifts.

Requirements

  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
  • Excellent people and communication skills.
  • Confidence to lead, motivate, and supervise groups.
  • Practical skills or trade experience in areas such as painting, carpentry, gardening, grounds maintenance, construction, landscaping, or general maintenance.

Working Pattern

  • Work frequent weekends and may be asked to cover some evenings.
  • Paid a higher rate of 50% for weekend days worked.
  • The pace of work means that rest breaks don’t always happen in the standard way.

Recruitment Process

Working Arrangements
