Job Description: Case Administrator
Working Pattern:
37 hours per week, starting from 9am with some evening working required to cover late night appointments.
Role Overview
Case Administrators play a vital support role in probation teams, helping to keep the public safe and providing individuals with the chance to turn their lives around. This role offers the chance to make a difference, gain new skills, and build a rewarding career within the Probation Service.
Responsibilities
Case Administrators support probation staff in working with people on probation, ensuring:
- All processes run efficiently
- Systems are maintained properly
- Probation information is collated and prepared for case files
They will use their strong communication skills to handle enquiries from colleagues, agencies, and people on probation in a busy environment.
Requirements
- Salary: Starting at £24,645, Pro-Rata for Part-Time roles. Pay progression is available through a Competency Based Framework (CBF).
- Location: Various settings including Probation Delivery Units (PDUs), Courts, Prisons, Approved Premises, etc.
- Working Pattern: Full Time, Part Time, Flexible Working

Application Process
To apply for this role, you will be required to:
- Complete a short application form detailing responses to Civil Service Behaviours and Experience-based questions.
- Sit the Civil Service Judgement Test (CSJT), a two-part test assessing your decision-making abilities in relation to specific civil service behaviours.
- Undergo a recruitment process that may include stages (tranches) to manage high volumes of applications.
