Description Overview
We are currently recruiting for two 24 - 6 day shift roles.
In this role you will provide an effective level of service to the production process by rectifying breakdowns, undertake planned preventative maintenance and contributing to the continual improvement, and process to enable the company to meet its business objectives and goals.
You will also undertake machine modifications/improvements and equipment-based project work to improve performance and expand capacity.
Scope of the Role
- Communicate effectively and accurately at all levels.
- Carry out all work requests expediently and to laid standards.
- Complete all tasks to current legislation (HSE etc.) and complete all necessary administration expediently to laid standards.
- Complete and document all PPM as laid out in the PPM schedule and procedure.
- Identify improvement opportunities, solutions, and costs where appropriate.
- Assist to optimise machine and line performance.
- Interface with suppliers.
- Assist to reduce departmental and Company costs.
- Contribute to the reduction of response times and completion times without reducing quality standards.
- Actively and positively undertake the role of Patrol Engineer.
- Encourage a positive attitude from team members and contribute to the line team performance.
- Share knowledge and increase skills base.
- Conduct basic instruction to line trainers on machine systems where the knowledge is not available from other sources.
- High safety awareness for self and others in ensuring that safe systems of working are followed, and the risk of an accident is minimised.
- Undertake such other reasonable duties as may be required from time to time in order to support the Perrigo business.

Experience Required
- A recognised engineering apprenticeship, plus engineering experience within a production environment.
- The ability to fault find and repair complex mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems to a sufficient level to fault find and repair.
- Good communication skills to effectively communicate with the production teams over machine / running issues.
- Expert knowledge of machinery within designated and trained area of the factory.
- Up to date training on safe operation of lifting equipment.
