Job Opportunity
Position
This fixed term Consultant Clinical Psychology post sits within the new Regional CAMHS ID Hub and Spoke service, hosted by NHS Lothian providing clinical leadership, specialist expertise and regional coordination to the three spoke areas: NHS Borders, NHS Fife, NHS Lothian (local Spoke).
Purpose
The primary purpose is to strengthen local capacity to deliver effective, evidence-based care. This will be achieved through specialist consultation, formulation support, and targeted assessment or intervention advice, enabling local teams to implement best practice approaches. The pathway will interface with specialist and mainstream CAMHS, under 18s ID services, Community Paediatrics, Neurology, Community ID teams, Educational Psychology, Schools, Social Work, and third-sector partners.
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist assessment/consultation and regional coordination to each Board according to need.
- Work closely with each Board’s CAMHS ID Link Clinicians (senior clinical point of contact).

Requirements
- The post holder must have a PVG Scheme membership/record.
- If not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult), an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
Salary
Please note: As this post is part-time, the salary will be pro-rata.
