Job Opportunity:
We are delighted to be advertising this opportunity for a Specialist (band 6) Occupational Therapist to join the North Edinburgh Older People’s Community Mental Health Team. The clinical skills needed for success could have been gained in a variety of settings and there is the scope to use a wide breadth of core OT skills for assessment, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation to maintain people living at home, offering advice and guidance to support and empower natural support networks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Passionate about working with adults over the age of 65 with a diagnosed mental health problem, people living with dementia, or who are querying a dementia diagnosis.
- Central role in placing the person and their family at the centre of our practice.
- Potential to make a real difference to clients, colleagues, and influence the contribution of OT within OPMH and EHSCP.
- Flexible and welcome interest from candidates considering secondments, job share, or other adjustments.
Requirements:
- PVG Scheme membership/record required.
- If not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult), an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before starting.

- As this post is part-time, the salary will be pro-rata.
