The successful candidate will provide visible professional leadership and operational management across Radiology, working closely with clinical, operational and corporate colleagues to maintain and improve service performance.

The post holder will also play a key role in the advancement of digital imaging technologies, artificial intelligence (AI) enabled solutions and innovation programmes, supporting the modernisation of imaging pathways, improving productivity and patient outcomes, and ensuring the service remains aligned with national and regional digital health strategies. Compliance with relevant legislation, national standards and regulatory requirements, including IR(ME)R, will be a core responsibility.

We are looking for an individual with significant senior management experience within a Radiology or Imaging service, strong leadership and communication skills, and a proven ability to manage complex services across multiple sites or care settings. You will be confident in using performance information, demand and capacity data and service intelligence to inform decision-making, support redesign and deliver sustainable improvements.

Evidence of postgraduate study, continuous professional development and healthcare management or leadership development is also required. Experience of managing substantial healthcare budgets, complex multidisciplinary teams and imaging services across multiple sites is essential. Experience managing services with significant workforce and financial responsibility will be advantageous.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Tools like ChatGPT or Copilot can be helpful when planning or preparing your application—but your responses must be written by you. Be authentic: Your application should genuinely reflect your own skills, experience, and motivations. Use AI appropriately: It’s fine to use AI for inspiration or to check spelling and grammar, but it shouldn’t write your answers for you. Why this matters: Applications that appear to rely on AI-generated content may be withdrawn. By applying, you confirm that your answers are based on your personal knowledge and achievements. Tip: Think of AI as a support tool, not a replacement. We want to understand you, not an AI-generated version of you.
