Dental Nurse - Public Dental Service (PDS)

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Dental Nurse to join our Public Dental Service (PDS) to provide patient-centred dental support in NHS Dumfries & Galloway. This unique opportunity will see you providing direct and indirect support to both patients and the clinical team.

Position Overview

  • Service: Scottish Emergency Dental Service (SEDS)
  • Location: Galloway Community Hospital
  • Working Hours: 7 hours per weekend, 1 weekend in 3 and additional hours to cover public holidays, annual leave, and sickness.
  • Duties: Reception duties included.

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant clinical experience as a Dental Nurse.
  • NEBDN qualification or SVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing.
  • Registration with GDC as a Dental Nurse.
  • Sound knowledge of Health & Safety requirements within a clinical environment.
  • Ability to find solutions to problems.
  • Ability to deal with the pressure of a diverse clinic.
  • Excellent and efficient communication skills.
