We are seeking an enthusiastic Band 7 Physiotherapy Team Lead to join our dynamic Pan Lothian Community Neurological Rehabilitation Team. Our service supports people with neurological conditions to maximise independence and achieve meaningful goals within their homes and communities.
Rehabilitation is delivered flexibly through a combination of domiciliary visits, outpatient clinics, and virtual appointments, supporting safe transitions from hospital and ongoing community-based care. The service provides neurological rehabilitation clinics across Lothian, including specialist clinics such as Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) and Spasticity Management.

Responsibilities
As Team Lead, you will provide operational and strategic leadership for our neurological community physiotherapy service, supported by experienced Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners and working closely with the wider multidisciplinary team and Service Lead. You will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, equitable, and person-centred care, while driving service development, innovation, and continuous improvement across Lothian.
Your leadership will help ensure we deliver high-quality, person-centred, and equitable care.
Essential Requirements
- Degree in Physiotherapy with relevant post graduate clinical and leadership knowledge, experience, and skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to lead a team.
Preferred hours of working: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday AM.
Interviews
Due to the clinical nature of this role, interviews will be carried out in person.

Job Responsibilities
- Clinical, professional, and managerial responsibility for the area of responsibility, including clinical and staff governance issues.
- Maximising service provision, including the delivery of safe and effective clinical practice.
- Ensuring all local and national guidelines and targets are adhered to and met.
Key Duties
- To act independently to provide a full comprehensive specialist service of assessment, diagnosis, treatment/appropriate management, onward referral, and discharge to a complex range of patients referred to the service.
