Post - Physiotherapy Team Lead
Grade - Band 7
Contract – Permanent
Hours of work – 18.0hrs
We are seeking an enthusiastic Band 7 Physiotherapy Team Lead to join our dynamic Pan Lothian Community Neurological Rehabilitation Team. Our service supports people with neurological conditions to maximise independence and achieve meaningful goals within their homes and communities.
Rehabilitation is delivered flexibly through a combination of domiciliary visits, outpatient clinics, and virtual appointments, supporting safe transitions from hospital and ongoing community-based care. The service provides neurological rehabilitation clinics across Lothian, including specialist clinics such as Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) and Spasticity Management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide operational and strategic leadership for our neurological community physiotherapy service, supported by experienced Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners and working closely with the wider multidisciplinary team and Service Lead.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, equitable, and person-centred care.
- Drive service development, innovation, and continuous improvement across Lothian.
Requirements:
- Degree in Physiotherapy with relevant postgraduate clinical and leadership knowledge, experience, and skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to lead a team.
- Preferred working hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday AM.
Due to the clinical nature of this role, interviews will be carried out in person.

Clinical, Professional, and Managerial Responsibilities:
- Clinical, professional, and managerial responsibility for area of responsibility including clinical and staff governance issues.
- Responsible for maximising service provision, including the delivery of safe and effective clinical practice.
- Ensuring all local and national guidelines and targets are adhered to and met.
Specialist Service Provision:
- Act independently to provide a full comprehensive specialist service of assessment, diagnosis, treatment/appropriate management, onward referral, and discharge to a complex range of patients referred to the service.
