Job Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Technologist within the Medical Equipment Management Team, at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, to support the delivery of a medical equipment management service.
Key Responsibilities
- Help provide medical equipment management services to a range of NHS and other customers.
- Support the clinical use of a range of highly specialist medical equipment in areas including critical care units, theatres, general wards, and community sites.
- This includes faultfinding, repairing breakdowns, performing scheduled preventive maintenance, safety checks, assisting with the investigation of medical equipment related incidents, and problem-solving in the clinical environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified to SCQF level 9 qualification in an electronics or medical engineering discipline, or equivalent training and experience.
- Experience of working within an electronic servicing role.
Key Skills and Attributes
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively within a team.
- Good interpersonal skills are essential.
- A flexible and methodical approach to the required tasks.
Travel and Location
- This post may involve travelling and working at various hospitals and clinics in Lothian.
