Job Title: 2D Animator for 'The Pinky Promise' Short Film
About the Project
This project seeks a talented 2D animator to bring to life a heartfelt, cinematic short film titled 'The Pinky Promise.' The film, approximately 4–5 minutes in length, will visually narrate a true love story between two women, focusing on themes of meeting, separation, reconnection, and building a life together. The narrative will be driven primarily by expressive animation and music, with minimal or no dialogue, and will culminate in a live marriage proposal immediately following the screening. The animator will collaborate closely on storyboarding, pacing, and scene selection, using provided reference photos and story details to ensure authenticity and emotional resonance. The visual style should be original, warm, and expressive, capturing the depth of the relationship while keeping locations and scenes manageable for a single-artist production. All artwork and animation must be created without the use of generative AI.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
